Trying before and slipping back isn't failure, it's part of how lasting change happens, and it means you already know more about your lifestyle habits than someone starting cold. What often makes the difference the next time is the right support around you, which is exactly what an integrated service offers: practical help, expert advice and a plan built around your life, all in one place. With that team behind you, you're not starting from scratch, you're picking up with experience and the support to make it stick.
Yes, the support is completely free, you’ll get expert coaching and a personal quit plan at no cost. Quitting also saves you money fast, a 20-a-day habit adds up to well over £4,000 a year at today’s prices!
Being more active is a powerful part of managing your weight, alongside what you eat. Activity burns energy, which helps protect your muscle as you lose fat, and makes it easier to keep weight off long term. On its own, movement usually leads to gradual change, which is exactly the kind that lasts. Your coach will support with your weight management and activity sits under this, so the two work together.
You are not alone, most people who decide to start a weight loss journey have setbacks. What makes the difference is support, and that is exactly what Live Well gives you. With a coach guiding you step by step, you are far more likely to make a change that lasts than by going it alone. We focus on small, realistic habits built around your life, so being active becomes something you keep doing, not another thing you drop.
BMI (body mass index) is a quick way to check whether your weight is in a healthy range for your height. For most adults, a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered healthy, 25 to 29.9 is in the overweight range, and 30 or above is in the obese range. BMI is only a guide and does not tell the whole story, but it helps us check eligibility and set a starting point. If you are pregnant, please use your weight from before pregnancy.
